Sprained or Strained Wrist
SYMPTOMS include skin discoloration, pain and swelling.
CAUSES of a sprain may be from tearing or stretching of tendons, muscles,
ligaments, or blood vessels that cause injury to soft tissue that surrounds
a joint. With a strain there is an injury of a muscle, the muscle fibers are
stretched and may be torn.
TREATMENT. X-ray, elastic bandaging and ice packs.
